New RCFE Training Regulations

On January 1, 2016, California expanded the training requirements for direct care staff working in a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE). New regulations have increased the orientation training requirement to a total of 40 hours and the annual continuing education requirement to 20 hours.
